March on March

WtD has a big deal on the March on March, where 30,000 ill-mannered people (note to literalists:  all 30,000 marchers may or may not be ill-mannered)  gathered to make a spectacle of themselves.  He has also elevated himself to “citizen journalist”, which I believe means “I couldn’t get a real journalist job so I made my own”.  This was my favorite sign:

I wonder if Australian protesters are paid to protest the same way people are in America?

    In Australia, they don’t need to pay protesters, unless it’s a Union gig. There are enough students and bullies to go around instead.

    The people in your photo do not appear to be ill mannered so far as your photo shows and now you are not only saying that all 30,000 are ill mannered but that they are using profanity and saying to kill people.

  3. crazy_eddie says:

    Who would pay 30,000 ill mannered people to march?

    Why are they ill mannered anyway? Don’t you agree with the democratic right of protest?

    Are these protesters rude?;

    • Of course I agree with the democratic right of protest–peaceful, respectful ones. Why are these people ill-mannered? The ones using profanity and saying to kill people are ill-mannered. The peope pictured on your link do not appear to be ill-mannered so far as the photo shows.

      As for who would pay 30,000 ill-mannered people to march, I cannot say. I merely observed that in the US, people are paid to protest and wondered if that was true elsewhere. I did not mean to imply all 30,000 were paid.

        I’d agree but how can you tell this applies to all 30,000, a significant number for any protest march BTW, or are you just insinuating?
